Vizioncore to Award Cash Prizes for Best Practices in Managing Physical Systems and Virtual Machines

VMworldEnd-User System Administrators and VARs can Compete for Prizes Including a Grand Prize Trip To VMworld 2010 in San Francisco, CA

Hoffman Estates, Ill – July 7, 2010 

Who: Vizioncore, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT).

What: The Vizioncore “Help Define P2V2P Best Practices” promotion,1 featuring cash prizes and a trip to VMWorld 2010.

When: The promotion is now open and runs through August 13, and award winners will be announced August 25. Vizioncore will recognize winners during a dinner at VMworld in San Francisco, CA, held August 30 -September 2. 

News Facts: In conjunction with the availability of a new version of vConverter, and to capture how customers are gaining value from the solution, Vizioncore has launched a “Help Define P2V2P Best Practices” promotion for end-user system administrators and VARs. Participants can contribute to a Best Practices WIKI on how they have used vConverter to assist in managing physical systems and virtual machines in VMware, Hyper-V and mixed-platform deployments. Participants can also attend live webinars and respond to surveys for which all respondents will be entered into prize drawings for three Apple iPad™ devices.

In addition, Vizioncore will award a Grand Prize free trip to VMworld that includes airfare, hotel and a $500 stipend for the “Overall Most Insightful Leadership Contribution” to the Best Practices WIKI. If the winner has already booked airfare and hotel reservations that cannot be cancelled, Vizioncore may reimburse the winner up to the equivalent amounts stated in the Official Rules.

Contributors are also eligible to win four $1,000 prizes to be voted on by promotion participants in the following categories:

  • Most Valued Contributor: For the use case most likely to save time for system administrators.
  • Most Useful Contributor: For the use case most likely to be frequently used by system administrators.
  • Most Transformational Contributor: For the use case most likely to make the largest change in how system administrators manage systems and data.
  • Most Popular Contributor: As voted on by all Best Practices WIKI contributors.
